features in the Linux kernel. But that work is not yet complete. At the
2026 Linux Storage,
Filesystem, Memory Management, and BPF Summit, Pratyush Yadav led a memory-management-track session on adding the ability to preserve hugetlbfs-provided
memory during the live-update process.
