  • Night Owl Volume 6 now online

    Volume 6 of the Night Owl software collection is now online in the file area.

    The Night Owl collections were distributed on CD to BBS SysOps all over the world, though they were most popular in the USA where they originated. Each CD contains hundreds of files ranging from software programs, to image files in various formats, to sound and music files.

    A BBS with limited hard disk space and an installed CD-ROM drive would often have a Night Owl CD in that drive, ready to serve downloads.

    The contents of the collection changed significantly from one edition to the next, focusing on the hottest new shareware and files. A total of 24 Night Owl CDs were released between 1990 and 1997.

    Night Owl #6 was released in 1992 and encapsulates some of the most popular BBS offerings of that year.

    We'll be adding other Night Owl CDs as time goes on and we're able to obtain them.
