How could I let this happen?

So many girlfriends - so many fights. I don't throw out boxes or cables - ever. Don't care if she doesn't like it, and I STILL find missing cables... an old external USB monitor that I can't get running - lol, I won't throw the monitor out either tho!!!

Same! Drives the wife crazy, so I bought a bunch of plastic bins with
drawers (DAISO in the Bay Area sells them cheap) and I try and keep them organized by type. But then there are the cabinets filled with keyboards,
mice, PCBs, game controllers -- and like 5 monitors, including a HUGE
Sony CRT -- in the basement.

Yeah. Feel like a hoarder sometimes BUT IT'S NOT JUNK I SWEAR :>

Oh that is in incredibly frustrating. But to be honest, who hasn't been there?

This has happened to me a couple of times and yet the urge to "tidy up and throw out all that useless stuff" still comes back......

My inner hoarder clearly need needs to be more dominant.

I have a filing cabinet with sterlite containers filed with cables, old hard drives, mice, adapters of all sorts, switches, etc . Going back to the 80s. It is my just in case cabinet. It is neat and out of the way so I never get any grief over it. I use my monitor and keyboard until they are literally dead and discard them as needed. Mice live on a long time…
