I've been scattered recently - my mother, after recovering from a
broken hip and elbow after a fall in december, wasn't able to live independently. She'd had some cognitive issues, and it was determined
that she'd need to go into a memory care facility. We got her in mid-december, and were getting her comfortable there. She was a fall
risk, so stayed in a wheelchair most of the time unless supervised.
She had a quick decline from Sunday, when we had a nice visit, to being
in hospice care on Tuesday. She was in and out of consciousness, with
her family taking turns keeping her company. She passed away on Friday morning.
