Subscribe to our newsletter Among the other PlayStation Portal accessories I've written about, one stalwart of my setup has been a particular case. In the months after I reviewed the Portal when it launched, more and more manufacturers entered the case market, and I tried loads of them. However, once I'd found one from a particularly reliable brand, I have not looked back.
The Spigen Rugged Armor Pro PlayStation Portal Case is a first-class case for protection-valuers and space-needers. While it's not absolutely perfect the Portal is ever so slightly loose inside, so I added some foam to pad it out, and the handle is not quite as good as briefcase-style ones it's by far the best I've used. I was always looking for something with plenty of storage space so I could keep everything together, and the Spigen Rugged Armor Pro excels in this respect. It's got two storage areas, so I've been able to keep charging cables, my Pulse Explore earbuds and all the bits and earbud tips
for them, and extra thumbgrips in the case with my Portal, and still have
room for more! There's no pressure against the Portal itself either, which I experienced from a few other cases' storage areas. It's also hard as nails; this case can survive every drop, knock, bump, and bash that I've put it through in the past two years. On top of that protection, the extra foam I added inside ensures everything is even more secure, too.
Yeah, it's a little more expensive than others, I know, but at $43.99 in the US , and 28.99 in the UK , it's not outrageous, and is definitely worth the investment if you're looking to protect your Portal and keep all your accessories with it. If you go for the earbuds which I think elevate the experience on both
Portal and PS5 simultaneously also consider the tiny audio accessory I added to my buds to make them even better .
