    OVER THE TOP: THE TRENCH WARFARE SIMULATOR ------------------------------------------------------------

    WELCOME TO THE FRONT, SOLDIER.

    The year is 1916. You are stationed on Node [X], tasked with
    breaking the enemy stalemate. The objective is 500 meters
    away. You must survive the mud, the monsters, and the
    machine guns to reach the enemy Commander.

    [THE INTERFACE]
    HP: Your physical health. If it hits 0%, you are Fallen.
    MR: Your Morale. Higher morale increases your survival odds
    during a Charge. Can be pushed to 120% with Rum.
    CASH: Banknotes scavenged from the field or earned via pay.
    MAP: The 'X' on the distance bar shows your current progress
    between your trench (>>) and the objective (<<).

    [COMMANDS]
    (G)O OVER THE TOP: The primary way to win. You charge toward
    the objective. Success depends on HP, Morale, and Armor.
    Failure may result in being Pinned Down or killed.
    (S)CAVENGE: Search the mud for items to boost Morale.
    (R)EST: Dream of home to recover Health.
    (B)UNKER: Visit the Quartermaster to buy better weapons,
    armor, and medical supplies.
    (M)ESSAGE: Carve a shout into the trench wall for others.
    (I)NVENTORY: Check your current gear without passing time.

    [PRO-TIPS]
    1. Combat Pay is issued every day you survive an action.
    2. Monsters in the fog carry Banknotes. Defeat them to get
    rich quick, but watch your Health.
    3. Once you reach 0m, the Final Assault begins. Prepare well
    before the last 50 meters.

    Monsters, Gracie?

    Success depends on HP, Morale, and Armor.

    Shouldn't the armor be accounted for in the interface? Are there different types of armor? Can it be upgraded?

    Why? Then again, why are there monsters to begin with? Surely there are more realistic, period-correct baddies you could use.

    Yup, trench rats, spooky appartitions.

    Success depends on HP, Morale, and Armor.

    Shouldn't the armor be accounted for in the interface? Are there different types of armor? Can it be upgraded?

    The armor is under inventory. For now there's just a steal plate. No upgrades yet.

    Why? Then again, why are there monsters to begin with? Surely there
    are more realistic, period-correct baddies you could use.

    The monsters are a way to get more banknotes and add a jumpscare when you're resting or scavenging. Why does it need to be more realistic? It's Trench Horror =) I might add some different baddies tho, an enemy soldier would be great.

    Can't say I'm familiar with that branch of Horror, but I get the gist.
