• Fidonet down?

From Shurato@618:300/50 to All on Mon Oct 21 16:17:00 2024
I haven't received a message since the 8th of October, except for Net 340 messages. Is anyone else having problems? I contacted Rob Starr who was unaware of the problem somehow and he said that his NC had a VM crash. It's back up AFAIK and I still haven't seen any new messages.

    Hi,
    Fidonet is working for me.
I am not a member of your net though.
I am in 1:135 over here.

    No, "FidoNet" isn't down.

What you said is confusing, because Rob Starr *is* your NC, and
technically he doesn't have an NC. The next link up from him would be
    the RC of Region 17.

Have you changed your Fido configuration on *your* end? Perhaps that is
    the cause of the outage?

Yeah, I meant his RC for Region 17.

Nope, I haven't changed anything since the 4th. I haven't received anything since the 8th.

Okay, so the next logical troubleshooting step would be to find out if
NC340 is receiving echomail from RC17. Also is anyone else in Net340
getting their mail? Just a matter of asking and following the trail...

Rob said that his feeds feed was down. I'm not sure how high that goes.
It's being looking into I believe. I'll keep pushing until it's figured out
    I guess.

Ok, it's back up. I just need to rescan 2 weeks ago.
