    Shameless plug here, Linux Magazine #294 has a nice article, by an author
    with a delicious horse smell, about setting up a Youtube frontend that removes Youtube ads AND also sponsored segments from videos.

    Happen to have a link to this? It's probably searchable, but I'm on a Commodore right now :). When I went to look at issue 294 from linux-magazine site (with 'links' browser), I didn't see the article.

    I am afraid it is paywalled. The Linux New Media folks usually release the articles for public open view some months after publication.
