  • Converting Palm Pilot PDB Files for Use in Excel?

    Up until now I've been satisfied that although I am left unable to sync my Palm E2 to my Win 11 PC, I can still access the existing information on the device itself. But, as of late, I've felt the desire to just copy the address book over to my PC so I could have a copy for ease of use on my PC. I've been suggested CloudPilotEMU amongst other things but is there a tool to easily convert these files for use in Excel, or Libre Calc?

    files? If so, it could convert them to something usable, perhaps.

    While this is true, unfortunately that seems to not apply to Address DB, atleast. My alternate plan is to wait until I have a laptop to run Linux off of, run jPilot, and be able to sync my data/convert to XLS or something of the like.

    Possible. But remember "PDB" = Palm Database. So a PDB file can be anything.

    So Calibre would probably be able to convert a PDB that was in a known eBook format. But I doubt it would process a PDB that was a contact list.

    I think my only real option is wait until I'll have the ability to sync the dang thing once I get a Linux laptop. I just wonder if there's a linux compatible version of Documents to Go or if I'll have to use Wine (which--on an unrelated note--can support my Windows XP/98 era programs).
