  • Podcasts for New Music

    Hello All,
    I had sort of forgotten about a SPIN magazine things from back in 2010 where they used to give way 10 songs every month. The idea came back to me as I was looking at my podcast listings and I wondered if there was still such a thing going on.
    These are the podcasts I've found so far that typically deliver a song a day or a longer track a week.

    Song of the Day KUT & KUTX Studio
    Live on KEXP
    Song of the Day KEXP
    Tiny Desk Concerts -Audio NPR
    BBC Music Introducin Mixtape

    Anyone have any other suggestions? I like to use Pocket Casts as an app and usually this is to listen to on my commute as I'm in a area with little radio or coverage for streaming. Work won't allow WiFi.

    Certain niche genres have periodic podcasts offering a sampling. Idea remains that you would become interesting in purchase-downloading more music from the featured artists.

    Renaissance Festival Podcast (available in family-safe and NSFW flavors) comes to mind.

    There was an Early Music one I listened to in the past, but it hasn't been updated in a great many years.

    Bummer,
    I find myself a day late to plenty of stuff. I'm surprised how much is monumented on line by hams that's just out of date or broken links. I suppose we couldn't anticipate how fast things would change!
