For anyone wondering, gopher://gopherddit.com is back up. I emailed the domain owner about it going down and he had thanked me for reminding him to renew it. The gopher's back up.

    Cool!

I've been meaning to check out gopher, I've fallen into the gemini rabbit hole and quite like that.

What gemini sites do you visit as a daily driver? I have a gemini client on my tablet and have yet to explore a command line browser for linux. I was perusing one of the gopher newsgroups a while ago and one of the gemini designers asked me to copy my gopher hole into a gemini site and I had idea what he was talking about.

Yeah, still haven't gone down that rabbit hole. But if you can give me a short list of your favorites I'll check it out.

Alright, so here on the computer it's Lagrange as a client and capsules:

gemini://station.martinrue.com/ [sort of a BBS feel] gemini://bbs.geminispace.org/ [BBS]
    gemini://midnight.pub [microblogs]

    gemini://astrobotany.mozz.us/ [a tamaguchi plant so a game of sorts] gemini://gamini.smallweb.space/farkle/ [it's a dice game]

    gemini://gem.dev/cgi-bin/chilly.cgi/ [weather report]

    gemini://tlgs.one search [search engine]

    gemini://queencitybbs.capsule.town/ [my BBS]

Hope that can give you some interesting sites to visit.

Cool thanks for that. I may have spent an hour in gemini-land a few years ago but... Well, it is hard to kill old habits.

I'm reading up on gemini now to see how it may benefit me. I'm looking to relaunch my old phlog and, if it isn't much trouble, run a mirror in gemini space. Not sure if it would be alot of work yet. Just started reading about it.
