After working from home the past few years, I was in an office in
Oakland on Monday, San Jose on Tuesday, and flew down to Los Angeles
yesterday. Looking forward to working from home today!

I was helping setting up the LA office yesterday, was pleasantly
surprised by AT&Ts 5G hotspot service. I was able to get my work done
and take a video call on my laptop over it nicely.

We need to talk about the latest scourge to our economy - airport bars
that serve "pints" that aren't actually 16 ounces!

Hey, your schedule sounds like mine! Southwest A-lister? You get the free booze-drinks (which my wife enjoys when she flies with me).

I've been working from home since my company sent everyone home during
the lockdown in 2020. Our lease expired in 2020 and I moved all of our
stuff to a new office. We never occupied that office and closed it down
in 2022. Traveling and being in an office are new to me!

Does Southwest still do those coupon books? I used to fly from OAK to
SAN every week for most of 2002. I ended up with a stack of those books
and handed out all of my coupons to the other passengers on my last
    flight home.

I definitely paused travelling (for work) for a couple years there, but as a result of the pandemic I went from travelling for work 5 days a week to only 2 days (most weeks). I mostly just go back and forth from ONT to OAK.

They stopped sending the physical drink tickets a year or more ago and now it's just a QR code on your boarding pass (phone app) that expire after your flight. So you can't really collect unused ones any more or give them out. I used to do the same when I heard (nice/cool) people trying to pay for drinks near me on flights. Can't do that anymore. :-(

    I'd take a 568ml imperial pint over that 473ml 16oz malarchy any day :)
