Using Vmodem under OS/2 (ie: the V), or using something else like NetSerial
under windows (the #)
While this doesnt resolve the question of FD + SIO 1.60d, it fixes my head & a 30 year old problem! I will keep playing with it to see if there is a to do it, but for now the packets are flowing!
Hey Guys!
What is the correct format for the FDNODE.CTL dial translation of
internet to port 60177?
DIAL
IFC Internet/:60177
END
ITN and VMP only.
to do it, but for now the packets are flowing!
Was thinking ... doesn't SIO only allow defaulting to port 23?
There is a bit complex way to poll nonstandard port. I did it once by setting an env var:This is what worked for me too, finally...
set fd_joho=fhc.d.defsol.com 2030
And then in fdnode.ctl:
phone 2:20/4609 $[fd_joho
Please do remember that FD does not support IFC. With SIO you can make ITN and VMP onlyI had to change the listening port on the primary bbs but have it working now.
Feel free to try my node at port 32 / ITN. :)I will certainly do this!
